I had never given the study of my family history much thought until my Ouma  (Grandma) Marie passed away unexpectedly. Her passing was a big shock to all  of us. She left a great legacy for all of her children and grandchildren to  remember. Her family was more important to her than her own life. We loved our  Ouma. We miss her. It is with Maria Adriana Ackerman Lehmann (Ouma) and her  love for family that I have chosen to dedicate this effort to her. May she,  and all of our loved ones and relatives always be remembered. Yes, even by our  future generations. Please help me in this great undertaking.
